I've been doing some watercolour a little more seriously recently...not too serious though.
Anyway, here are some of them. Bare in mind these are photos of the pictures and usually I take them at night =/ even in the day i cant get a good photo of them and my scanner doesnt do them any justice either :( so just remember they look about 100 times better in person! ok thanks :)
These are two objects in my gran's house. The little bowl is a sugar bowl and the spoon in it is my favourite spoon in the world! Its got a whole scene "carved" into it and the windmill at the top actually spins!
I did these two while baby sitting her cat..again :P
This one is of Keira Knightly as Georgiana Spencer,Duchess of Devonshire in "The Duchess." I just adored the costumes and rooms in this movie! I wanted to do a set of these. I was partly inspired by Caitlin Shearers "Marie Antoinette" paintings. She has been quite an inspiration lately :)
Almost my favourite part of my paintings is the little clour testing patch :)
The other day I watched "An Education". I didn't really like it,but I loved the costumes! So this painting was a quick one, just for the dress.
I did this one last night. It's from a photo my boyfriend's sister added on facebook. I just really love the dress and think its such a cute pic:) love how the watercolour came out too.
And I literally just finished this one. Actually, it's not even finished in this picture. I just added eye, hair and shadow detail. It's of a picture from a 1942 Harpars Bazaar photo. I just LOVED the dress. Really proud of this as I look at it :) ...so don't be mean! :P
